Virtual Programs

  • Dorot, 6/22 - 7/16, free
    • An internship for highly motivated and socially conscious Jewish students who want to make a difference in the community by working with older adults. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, DOROT will be running their Summer Teen Internship Program remotely this summer. Join by video or telephone platforms from the safety of your own home!

  • Bronfman Rewired, 6/25 - 8/7, $180
    • Introducing Bronfman Rewired - an independent learning module for teens. These virtual modules give teens the opportunity to learn professional, leadership, and Jewish identity building skills from the comfort of home. Modules are released weekly for 6 weeks, and participants will also have access to Summer Excelerator staff for individualized coaching. Learn more and apply on Summer Excelerator's website!
  • JustCity/CityStage, 6/28 - 7/12, $500
    • Explore the intersection of Judaism and justice, earning 1 college credit. As part of the program, you'll let your creative juices flow and produce your own works of art, while building friendships with teens from across the country.
  • JOFA's High School Leadership Development Program, 6/29 - 7/17, $100
    • Explore career opportunities, Jewish skills building, telling your personal story, combatting antisemitism, and advocacy and organizing, all through a fun and feminist lens. Each session will feature a guest speaker, facilitated conversation, and offer time for cohort building, and continued mentoring will be made available to support you as you become a future leader.
  • Genesis, 7/6 - 7/25, $1050
    • Brandeis's precollege program is now offering a three week virtual session. Connect virtually with motivated students from around the globe and learn with professionals in their fields for a life-changing summer of intensive study, informal learning, and a vibrant Jewish community of friends.
  • Hartman Fellowship for Emerging Jewish Thought Leaders: Together@Home, 7/7 - 8/5, free
    • Join this national cohort of exceptional high school students and meet virtually with top Hartman scholars like Tal Becker, Elana Stein Hain, Yehuda Kurtzer, and Mijal Bitton to grapple with the effects of COVID-19 on our collective communities through interactive webinars, study groups, and intimate discussions for a month-long exploration of Jewish peoplehood, at-homeness, and the contemporary challenges facing North American Jewish identity in this moment.
  • Tikvah Online Academy, Session 1: mid-June to mid-July/Session 2: mid-July to early August, $100 per course
    • Tikvah Online Academy is now offering small classes, master teachers, and spirited discussions remotely. Courses cover Jewish culture and civilization, the history and heroes of Israel, the future of American democracy, the fight against anti-Semitism, and the principles of a free economy and free society. Classes are available for those in 7th grade through college.
  • TY-fi, 7/1 - 7/21, $500
    • Tel Yehudah is offering a virtual three week program for teens. They are determined to keep their community together this summer, even while they are far apart. The program will emphasize community, connection, content and (even some) structure.
  • Camp Kesher at Home, 6/15 - 6/26, price varies
    • Camp Kesher is excited to offer a virtual Jewish camp environment with a productive daily structure and fun! They have many options for campers currently in grades 3 through 12. Click the link for additional information about each age group.

    • Ramah's summer calendar with tons of virtual offerings, including Havdalah services, Zumba classes, and virtual baking workshops.
  • Quaranteen
    • 4Front's regularly updated list of virtual offerings, including mental health resources, movie screenings, and professional development opportunities.
  • USYfi
    • USY's regularly updated listing of virtual programs, including games, talks, and book clubs.
  • Collective Compassion
    • Collective Compassion aggregates virtual resources for both teens and parents, which include mental health articles and activities, philanthropy pop-ups, resources for LGBTQ+ teens, and more! Collective Compassion was created by The Jewish Teen Education & Engagement Funder Collaborative, a network of local and national funders and 10 communities.

    • 4Front and J Camps are teaming up to virtually connect teens with J Camp families. Sign up to participate in this exciting program!
  • Better Together in a Box
    • Better Together™ in a Box is a special short-term program for the summer of 2020. The "Box" consists of a curriculum and resources to create an interactive, yet remote, teen and senior partnership. This spring and summer have brought on new challenges for both teens and seniors. Isolation, program cancellations, and a lack of connection are a significant problem throughout our communities. Better Together™ in a Box includes all of the materials and guidance needed to launch a summer program in days, e.g. instructions for launching the program, teen-directed learning sessions, and activity guides for sessions with senior partners. All the teen programming is specially adapted for remote learning and the senior activity guides provide options for both synchronous and asynchronous interactions. There is no cost to participate in Better Together™ in a Box and take full advantage of the curricular materials, and limited funding grants for Better Together™ in a Box are also available.
  • My New Summer
    • A virtual collective of camp people helping other camp people. They will help connect you to a job, internship, mentor, and a network to assist you through anything and everything you may need.
  • Scaventures
    • Israel Scaventures is now offering Quarantine Quests, a series of virtual scavenger hunts intended to connect campers with each other through content that is both fun and meaningful.
  • Lost Tribe Esports
    • Stay safe. Stay Connected. Game with the tribe. Lost Tribe Esports is 100% focused on serving Jewish communities during the coronavirus crisis and beyond. They are offering online esports and social opportunities for teens and young adults free of charge, in partnership with a wide range of Jewish organizations.
  • I Spy with Rebecca Gratz's Eye
    • A site designed for Jewish day schools and programs that wish to supplement their treatment of early American history with more information about Jewish life and practices between 1540-1850. It is aimed at students in grades 4-8 with an emphasis on the middle of that range.
  • Virtual College Road Trip
    • Starting May 31st - June 30th, join this virtual college road trip for a full month of student-led virtual college tours, information sessions with college administrators and onsite Hillel reps with real insights on Jewish campus life, Q&A discussions, workshops, relevant articles, and more!
    • ADRABA is offering July and August sessions with courses covering engaging topics, including pop culture, history, and current events. Classes meet once a week for an hour.
