An interactive way for teens, parents, grandparents, and youth professionals to browse and share a wide range of summer programs.

Round Lake Camp

Far from the stresses of everyday life, Round Lake Camp is located on 1250 wooded acres, approximately 90 minutes from New York City. This meadow and mountain environment creates a backdrop for fun-filled days.

Round Lake campers in Teen Village, ages 15-17, participate in an internship program 6 days a week. Campers are placed, based on their request, at one of many locations on camp. Examples of placements include animal center, arts and crafts, and the administrative offices. The campers spend one to two periods a day helping in those areas, having the opportunity to develop life skills and gain responsibility, as well as a sense of satisfaction knowing they are contributing to the daily functioning of camp. Our social worker provides an in-service to campers teaching interview skills and resume building.

Additionally, Teen Village campers travel on field trips one or two days per week and participate monthly in community service projects. They love boarding the bus and venturing out as a group. An example of a community service trip that is enjoyed each year is our visit to the AFYA Foundation, an agency committed to sending surplus medical supplies to Africa and Haiti.
