Kadima

Kadima is a 3 week program hosted by Machaneh Tavor. The program gives participants an opportunity to meet their national shichvah (age group) and explore the Midwest! The educational focus of Kadima is on Judaism and social justice. Participants will be exploring local issues and organizations through a Jewish lens while also participating in service learning projects and educational seminars. Additionally, Kadima participants will be exploring the Midwestern region through hiking trips and fun outings that focus on bonding as a collective.

Programming Highlights:

  • Service Learning project in Detroit (in partnership with Repair The World)

  • Compete in a scavenger hunt at one of the largest flea markets in the USA

  • Take a weekend long trip to Chicago and participate in a socioeconomic tour of Black and Jewish history's

  • Visit Navy Pier and ride the ferris wheel

  • Hiking trip through the sand dunes

  • Disco Bowling Extravaganza

  • Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center

  • Israel seminar
