JCC Summer Camps (Austin)

JCC Austin has Summer Camps for kids of all ages, from toddlers to tenth graders, offering enthusiastic counselors, professional staff, a swimming pool, nature trails, a low ropes course, playgrounds, awesome activities, special events and more! Located at the Jewish Community Center on the Dell Jewish Community Campus in Northwest Austin on 40 beautiful acres, it's the perfect place for an incredible day camp experience and to build lifelong friendships.

The Camp Shalom Leaders In Training (LIT) Program has been redesigned to allow teens a multifaceted experience. The program contains three core components: leadership training, hands-on counselor skills guidance, and fun, social programming. Each two-week session will provide teens the opportunity to experience every facet of working at a summer camp from interacting directly with campers to shadowing activity specialists. Under the supervision of our Program Coordinator, LITs will meet as a group regularly for learning and discussion groups. The first week of each session provides a more in-depth learning experience, and the second week they will focus more on putting those skills to use in the camp groups. Upon successful completion of the LIT Program, participants will receive a minimum of 45 community service hours and are eligible for a higher rate of pay as Junior Counselors at Camp Shalom.
