Dayton JCC - Camp Shalom

At Camp Shalom, we pride ourselves on tradition, values, friendship and fun! We continue to have the same solid foundation that has existed in the Dayton Community since the early 1930s. Our goal is to provide children with meaningful experiences rich in Judaic spirit. Children of diverse faiths and cultures as well as members and non-members of the Dayton Jewish Community Center are welcome.

Our Counselor–in-Training (CIT) program is an introduction into developing the skills needed to become a Camp Shalom Jr. Counselor for teens in grades 8 through 10. During the day, CITs will be given leadership training in the form of workshops, discussions and hands-on experience (see attached training schedule). Additional opportunities are provided for CITs to develop special skills in arts & crafts, athletics, singing, and cultural activities.
