CIT Program at Camp Wonderland

Camp Wonderland is designed to be a nurturing introduction to summer day camp. Campers are placed in age appropriate groups with mature staff. Swimming is an integral part of each camp day, as is a variety of activities to stimulate each child's imagination. The program takes place both indoors in the Y's air-conditioned rooms, as well as outdoors on the 54 acre Suffolk Y campus.

The CIT program is an on-the-job training experience for a select group of mature teens who are interested in working with children. Applicants must take part in the Staff Training Institute prior to the opening of camp. CIT’s could be placed in a group (in either Camp Wonderland or Junior Camp or a specialty area). There will be on-going training throughout the summer as well as special trips. Teens interested in applying should call 631-462-9800 ext. 127 for an application & to interview.
