Camp Jaycee

Since 1945, Camp Jaycee has been providing kids of all ages with Adventures, Friends and Memories! Camp Jaycee offers everything a kid needs to have fun indoors and outdoors. Campers get to take advantage of our fabulous JCC facilities including our Olympic sized pool, 500 seat theatre, dance studio, our huge ball fields, tennis center, athletic center, state-of-the-art preschool and much much more!

Camp Jaycee’s Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is designed for selected campers entering 10th grade in the Fall who are interested in taking on leadership positions in all camp areas and exploring personal growth opportunities. Each session features training in conflict resolution, community service, age/group characteristics, activity planning, decision making, and guest speakers. Campers will experience a day at a ropes course facilitated by UCSD Challenge Course. At the end of the 6-week session, campers receive a certificate of completion. This cohesive group gains work experience with a variety of ages under the supervision of trained Camp Jaycee and inclusion staff. Throughout the sessions, CITs work with typical children and those with special needs from preschoolers to grade three. A CIT application must be submitted along with a letter of recommendation—then each applicant will have a personal interview with the Camp Directors.
