Camp Ga'avah (Pride)
Camp Ga’avah (Pride), is a day camp for LGBTQ youth and their allies ages 6-16. Camp Ga’avah is a welcoming place for youth of all identities to build strong relationships and confidence, and to learn skills to better navigate their individual journeys.
Camp Ga’avah includes camp traditional activities plus support and leadership training. Jewish culture is a component - campers will celebrate Shabbat as a community, learn Jewish values and participate in Tikkun Olam projects.
Once the summer is over, Camp Ga’avah programing continues. Year round programming includes virtual programming, field trips Jewish holiday celebrations, Shabbat dinners, educational classes, and support groups in an LGBTQ friendly environment. These programs will provide connection to the Jewish community and other families who have similar life experiences. Transportation for camp is available from Southwest Nassau County, Suffolk County and Queens (Forest Hills & Little Neck).
