Alexander Muss High School in Israel: Culinary

Discover the flavors, traditions, and innovations that define Israel's vibrant culinary scene in this immersive 4-week program. Partnered with Jewish National Fund-USA's Galilee Culinary Institute, students will explore beyond the kitchen, delving into the agriculture of the region, mastering the art of food journalism and photography, and learning about the critical principles of sustainability and community. Experience the rich tapestry of Israel’s food culture while developing skills that extend far beyond the plate.

Highlights: 

  • Non-academic adventure program, offered to rising 11th and 12th graders

  • The curriculum designed in partnership with JNF-USA’s Galilee Culinary Institute
  • Classroom time will include practical application, as well as lessons about Israel’s diverse and cultural culinary practices
  • Participants will discover holistic and communal food studies, including agricultural, food journalism and photography, business studies, and more!
  • Explore Israel's start-ups from the North to South, and discover a world of intrepid ingenuity and innovation
  • Financial aid is available for students who qualify
