J Camp (JCC San Antonio)

Counselors-in-Training (CITs) work closely with counselors and specialists, assisting with camp groups, to learn what it takes to be a high-quality J-Camp staff member. CITs build leadership skills and learn tools for working with children. Preference for Junior Counselor positions in future summers is given to those who successfully complete the CIT program.

The CIT leadership program is a two-week commitment; applicants may choose between one and four sessions. Fee includes leadership training, a mid-summer trip to Fiesta Texas, a camp T-shirt, and a small stipend (per session) for perfect attendance and consistent high-quality performance.

To become a CIT, complete an online application through the online registration system by May 1. Interviews will be scheduled after enrollment is submitted, but before May 18. Space is limited and placement is not guaranteed.
