Repair the World Teen Service Corps

The Teen Service Corps is a 6 week service learning program with cohorts in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Throughout the program teens (rising 9th through 12th graders + current HS seniors) will learn about systemic injustice through a Jewish lens, hone leadership skills and volunteer in various neighborhoods to promote food and housing justice. Volunteering will follow strict COVID safety compliance guidelines and may pivot to a partial or full virtual format. 

Dates: July 13- August 19

Sample Schedule

Tuesday:

10am-12pm: Service - urban farming

12-1pm: Lunch and travel to park 

1-2pm: Taking Creative Action through Art/Music/Sports/Writing

2-3pm: Social Justice Deep Dive

Wednesday:

10am-12pm: Learning: Guest Speaker and/or Neighborhood Tour

12pm-1pm: Lunch

1-3pm: Service - mural painting at a community center

Thursday:  

10am-12pm: Service - food pantry

12-1pm: Lunch and travel to park

1-2pm: Taking Creative Action through Art/Music/Sports/Writing

2-3pm: Social Justice Deep Dive

Receive 80 Community Service Hours
